19 of the Russian's twenty-one titles have been won on hard surfaces
A resurgent Medvedev won his maiden trophy for over two years with a win over Frenchman Moutet in the Almaty Open final.
The athlete, a former top-ranked player, has endured a torrid season, winning just a single victory at the major tournaments and undergoing a meltdown at the American major.
Medvedev's inconsistency on the professional circuit - and struggles with his serving in especial - led to him exiting of the elite rankings and finally separating with long-time coach Cervara.
Currently training with Thomas Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, the tennis star has gradually improved in the last few weeks - peaking in a tightly fought competitive win over challenger Moutet.
This represents the player's initial championship after the Rome competition and first on a hardcourt since March of 2023.
Victory also means the Russian has secured 21 victories at twenty-one various tournaments.
"It's the first time I have attended a competition with my two daughters simultaneously, so to get a championship is really nice," commented tennis professional Daniil Medvedev.
"This victory is in dedication of my second daughter her name, because the first title I got when my older daughter her name was born was for her."
The athlete, the 2021 US Open champion, had lost his past six championship matches, featuring in Halle in the past months.
His counter-punching approach and regular outbursts on court had led commentators to doubt if his capacity to play at the top level was over.
But the 29-year-old has made changes in recent weeks, making an effort to come to the net and play assertively, backed up by an enhanced serve.
Medvedev came back from a break down in the first set against the challenging Frenchman, winning four of the final five points to gain the advantage.
The pair swapped service breaks in the middle set before the Frenchman, bidding for his maiden professional championship, took control to force a decider.
Moutet saved 4 initial break points in a tight third set before Medvedev broke to 15 to secure the win.
Suitably, he secured victory with a rally at the net, with his opponent unable to manage a return after two hours and 38 minutes.
